Role Description: This is a full-time on-site role for a Preschool Teacher at Christian American School of Guatemala located just outside of Guatemala City, in San Cristobal. The Preschool Teacher will be responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating a developmentally appropriate instructional program in a Christian-based educational environment. The Preschool Teacher will also supervise children's activities in the classroom and on the playground, prepare materials and supplies for daily activities, and communicate with parents about their child's progress.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field
Proven experience as a Preschool Teacher
Excellent knowledge of child development and appropriate instructional strategies for young children
TEFL/TESOL certificate preferred
Demonstrated ability to plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities for children
Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with children, parents, and colleagues
Ability to maintain a safe and healthy learning environment for children
Native English Speaker
Experience teaching in a Christian-based educational environment is a plus
Certification or licensure in Early Childhood Education is a plus
Experience with classroom technology is a plus
Preference given to citizens of the USA and Canada.
