Heart for Change, the Colombian Ministry of Education and Bento Group are looking for TEFL skilled fellows to teach English throughout the country in order to build a bilingual Colombia. Fellows will be teaching low-income kids, teenagers, and/or adults in Colombia’s public educational institutions for 1 or 2 semesters. We have a specific volunteer profile and are looking for our Fellows to be hardworking, socially oriented, adaptable, flexible, motivated and able to work independently.
These are the program requirements:
Native English speaker or non-native English speaker with Level C1 certified
Professional (BS, BA or its equivalent)
Must be between 21 and 50 years old (up to 55 for specific program)
Signed Fellowship Agreement
Health Clearance Form signed by a doctor
Biography (a paragraph about yourself)
Currículum Vítae
Mental and physical capacity to teach students and facilitators (both children and adults)
Maturity, flexibility, accountability and ability to demonstrate commitment
Clean criminal record
1 Recommendation Letter and 1 Letter of intent
Commitment deposit in USD, refundable at the end of the program
International Medical insurance that covers the full duration of the program
We also look for the following desired qualities:
Experience of having traveled or lived in another country, especially in Latin America
TEFL / TESOL Certification
Teaching experience
Basic level of Spanish
