Our Homeroom teachers are offered 2-year contracts for our two 10 month academic years from August 2024 to June 2026 . Contracts for continued employment will be offered for additional years based on performance, as we love to have teachers who are interested in being around for longer.
The majority of our students enter our school with little to no English, and we are therefore looking for teachers with a bilingual/ELL/immersion background. As a Homeroom Teacher, you would be responsible for providing instruction in Language Arts, Social Studies, Math, and Science. Your students would also have Technology, Art, Kaqchikel, Spanish, and PE with other teachers, during which time you would have planning periods.

Please note that in order to apply for teaching positions at LIFE School, you must have a degree in early childhood, elementary, or secondary education, and/or be state-certified.
Additional Qualifications:
TEFL/TESOL certificate preferred
Experience working with English Language Learners preferred
Flexible, resourceful, energetic, and passionate about education.
Committed to the school's mission of providing a quality bilingual education to the local population
Experience in differentiating instruction.
Working knowledge of Spanish preferred but not required
Preference given to teachers with experience working in a multicultural setting
