Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

The unit showed me all the different types of conditionals, what they mean and how they are formed. It showed me ways in which I can make it easier for students to distinguish between certain conditionals too. The unit also reminded me how to change direct speech into reported speech, but also reminded me that this bit of language can be difficult for students and that it needs to be taught slowly and patiently.I learned about the four different past tenses which are: Past Simple, Past Continuous, Past Perfect, and Past Perfect Continuous. For the past simple I learned the difference between regular and irregular verbs. For all four tenses I learned the different usages as well as common student mistakes/errors. I also learned some sample activate stage teaching ideas to use with my future students that will be useful.
