Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

This unit is teaching me how to evaluate and test the various ELL levels. It teaches you about the various levels of assessment and how the students are evaluated. It teaches about the different levels of learners and how varied these levels can be. I think it is a good idea to assess the students ongoing as it is suggested to see the levels of progress and the areas that are still weak. This unit focused on the varied purposes of modal phrases. I find that students have the most difficulty with learning the usage of these phrases. It is challenging for them to express something that did not happen in the past or something that has not happened in the future. In some languages modals do not translate directly over which makes the correlation between less easily to be drawn.
