Many teachers have their own style and preference in terms of class coursebooks and materials. Authentic materials, such as real life artifacts like news papers, and created materials, such as dialogue prompts, are both tools that teachers can utilize in lessons to facilitate learning in the classroom. Coursebooks can be helpful in many ways if they adapted, well researched, and creatively utilized in the classroom.This unit was all about the roles and classification of teachers and learners. Good qualities and habits of teachers are discussed in depth. As for learners, the unit broke them up into different groups based on age and skill level. The ITTT also somewhat compared the difference in their skill classification to the EU's rankings. Lastly, the unit included a reflection on why a learner might be studying English.
