Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.
I found the section on the differences between younger and older students, as well as the detailed breakdown of the different language proficiency levels (correlated between the general level system and Common European Framework) particularly useful and interesting. So far, I've dealt with adult students in my teaching career. I'm looking forward to teaching children and applying what I learn in this course to the classroom.In this unit, I have learned how to teach special groups of ESL students. ESL students can be divided into; Beginners, Individuals, Children and Business people (clients). This unit elaborated on suitable activities for each type of student(s), it emphasised on the importance of giving and checking homework, it also highlighted classroom discipline and management. It also talked about need analysis for business people(clients).
