Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

This course focuses on Engage Study Activate and sees it as the most effective method for teachers to use in classrooms. I agree because a great variety of methods are used to ensure that students learn to speak English. This unit has also given me many examples and exercises to use in teaching English to foreigner learners. Never over correct and always use positive reinforcement when working with any learner as this builds confidence. In this unit, I learned the methods to introducing and teaching new language to students. The unit reviewed the ESA structure which stands for Engage, Study, Activate. It also detailed best practices when introducing three different types of lessons. The three different types were vocabulary, grammar, and language functions. Lastly, the unit detailed what to consider when selecting the specific vocabulary, grammar, or function to teach.
