Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

Unit thirteen was wild. I don't know how else to describe what i learned about the phonetic script. This was my first exposure to it and I felt like I was reading a completely new but somehow familiar language. Other than that this lesson talked a lot about the importance of teaching correct pronunciation. I found it interesting that the majority of people learning the English language have pronunciation as their biggest concern.Even though qualities of a good teacher may be considered common sense, it was good to learn them in this lesson. Learning about the 9 roles of a teacher was helpful to know when to apply certain roles for different classes and situations. Learning that a good teacher will encourage and foster the attributes of a good learner was also good to learn because it's an aspect that I've just expected to be the student's responsibility.
