This unit is about the types of materials that can be used in an ESL class. The significance for me is that we shouldn't use the course book all the time. This divergence from the course book makes sense because one always has to be prepared cater to the classes learning needs which will probably not directly follow the course books more rigid path. There are a lot of good examples of supplementary materials.Grammar is generally known as the rules of the english language learning and speaking.This unit has taught me the various parts of speech some of which are nouns,pronouns,adjectives,adverbs,verbs,conjunctions etc.The correct and appropriate usage of these parts of speech are dealt with under this unit.I have taken the opportunity to refresh my mind on the various definitions of the parts of speech and its usage.
