This unit provided two example classes in video form to demonstrate common mistakes and how much the teacher can affect the students into engaging. If the lesson seems unclear to the students and they are not participating, don't just soldier on, instead try to clarify and interest them into understanding. By changing up the activities within the lesson you can keep the momentum and interest going throughout.In this unit, I have learned that I have to consider the purpose of the leaning another language before design a syllabus(the structural, the functional-notional, the learners-led, the situational syllabus). I have learned that there is a different kind of test for the specifical purpose (diagnostic, placement, aptitude, achievement, proficiency, progress), and I have to know which one applies in a situation.
