Our School
Berlin International School is an IB World School offering the PYP in the Primary school and a bilingual international programme in the Secondary school, culminating in the IB Diploma Programmes as well as an accredited US High School Diploma. There are approximately 820 students in the Primary and Secondary school. Our students come from over 70 different countries and our faculty of 90 staff from over 20 countries. B.I.S. is located in two historic buildings set in a beautiful green suburb of Germany’s capital city. We are fully authorized to run the IB DP and PYP, and are accredited by CIS and MSA-CESS.
Available Secondary Position for an immediate start:
English Literature
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and talented teacher of English Literature to join our teaching team. You will be joining an innovative secondary division, ensuring high quality teaching, learning and student achievement. Our mission is to meet the needs of the Berlin international community with a focus on language development in English and German within a multilingual context. The successful applicant will have the ability and the experience to successfully teach English Literature. Experience of the IBDP English Literature course is essential, and the ability to teach Theory of Knowledge a distinct advantage.

are able to teach in English and/or German
are passionate about their subject area
General Requirements for Teaching Positions
Bachelor’s or higher degree, plus a recognized Secondary teaching qualification
A minimum of two years experience as a Secondary teacher
TEFL/TESOL certificate preferred
