Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.
Very much like the previous unit, this one was a bit shorter than usual but had a lot of useful information. It is interesting to think about the importance of writing when compared to reading, listening, and speaking. While the other three may be more frequent in use, writing is still an essential part of learning a language and allows learners another space to experiment with English and then improve based off of corrections. This was my favourite lesson thus far. It was engaging from a practical standpoint and I learned a lot about how to confidently and accurately plan lessons. The video from Peter was particularly thorough and engaging and I took down a lot of valuable notes and information. The task sheet along with lesson plan and self evaluation sheets (along with my printout of Unit 3) were important tools to smoothly get through this lesson.
