The unit 13 brought a lot of new information. It was focused on teaching pronunciation and phonology. Many techniques were introduced to teach about intonation and stress. The phonemic alphabet was the most interesting, since I didn't know to use it before. Articulation and pronunciation were also included in this lesson. Therefore, this unit was a bit more complex, but extremely necessary to make me a better teacher.Students may already come into class a little nervous, specially adults because they may feel more cautious and perhaps embarrassed. With children is a little bet different because they are not thinking about it, specially when it comes to pronounciating words. Part of a teachers job is to make both groups feel comfortable and to stablish a good relationship, and also to remember to have fun while your are learning.
