EFL teachers needed for a summer school project for 27 June - 30 July 2013 in Bulgaria. We are looking for enthusiastic, sociable and active people who are free for this time during the summer. The Centre is based in the picturesque resort of Pamporovo in the Rhodope Mountains of Bulgaria. This could be ideal as a working holiday. The morning is spent teaching formal English lessons to 8-13 year old students, and the afternoon leading English orientated activities such as games, films, sport, drama. There are also tours to places of interest during the week. The salary is 11 Bgn per hour (average 6 hours per day). Hotel accommodation and full board is provided.

Requirements:

Qualifications in teaching English as a foreign language are essential: either CELTA, TEFL or TESOL qualifications are acceptable.

I found the unit to be a comprehensive guide on how I can make use of the equipment available to me in the classroom. Some of these equipment, such as dictionaries, white/black board, OHP, visual aids, etc. are familiar to me. Others, such as the interactive whiteboard, not so much. Still, this unit had given me sufficient information to consider with regards to the tools for efficient teaching.Unit One discusses what the qualities and the roles of a teacher are as well as explain the qualities and stages of learners of different ages. In my opinion, the most important quality a teacher needs to have is the ability to motivate students. If the teacher is successful in motivating the student to desire to learn English, then both the teacher and student will be successful in their roles.
