Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

This unit covers indirect and direct speech as well as conditionals. I found the indirect/direct speech aspects easy to grasp, particularly I found it easier to when I didn't think too much about the questions. I grasped the concept of conditionals in theory but found it hard to label examples. This will definitely have to be something that I relearn and refresh before I have to teach a lesson on it.Past tenses, to a native English language speaker, is a familiar and easy way to express actions, but can be difficult for the person learning English. Understanding when an action took place, and the proper form and method, will come from experience speaking the language. Making sure the student understands how, and where, the mistake was made, and drilling the proper form, will correct the mistake.
