Unit 14 covers the use of course books and lesson materials. Authentic materials can be used to give students more confidence. Created materials can be adapted to the level and interests of the students. Course books are good because it contains a graded curriculum with various books for teachers and students. It is a lot less work for a teacher when they can use an existing course book and just created supplementary materials.When reading through Unit 5 Classroom Management, I learned the benefits and disadvantages regarding classroom arrangement, grouping students, maintaining rapport with the students, and the importance between teacher talking time and student talking time. I learned that there is no cookie-cutter way of managing a classroom, and that there is always going to be a variety of factors that will determine how you run your classroom.
