James School, a small well established teacher run language school in Roztoky u Prahy, is looking for a TEFL qualified female English teacher initially to take over 6 hours of lessons a week starting in September. These include firms in Petriny, Karlin and Pankrac. They are all within easy reach of the Prague metro or tram system. The student levels range from pre to upper intermediate with a focus on business and basic English. This unit was very helpful in establishing what will be covered in this course and what I can expect to learn. Without an introductory unit like this is useful by helping me understand the overall, bigger picture of this course. Rather than getting caught up in the individual lessons, this unit allows me to see and understand how the lessons connect to each other into the bigger picture of the course.Every step of a lesson truly has to be thought out with different scenarios and variables. It is so easy for a lesson to go in to a downward spiral if there has been a lack of explanation or understanding in any phase be it engage, study or activate. The students will quickly give up if they don't understand a task so it is crucial that they understand what is expected of them and what they are doing.
