What we do offer is a unique opportunity to contribute to further development of our programme for children aged 6-11, where we combine the Czech state school curriculum with project based lessons and English language classes. You will be teaching (i) English to prepare pupils for passing Cambridge English tests (YLE), (ii) project-based lessons according to our curriculum, and (iii) teaching older children English.
In addition to your support of in-class teaching, the working hours would also include preparation work, preparation of weekly reports, daily communication with a Czech co-teacher, staff meetings, communication/meetings with parents, and extra-curricular activities such as a Christmas market, Halloween activities, orientation week, 3 Saturday morning field trips, etc. The position is full time. We offer a 1 year contract with the possibility of extending it further.
Location
Our campuses are located in Roztoky and Mníšek pod Brdy, both beautiful suburbs of Prague only 20 minutes by public transport from the city centre. Both campuses are in completely new, modern and beautiful premises.
Classes are limited to between 20-24 children. Starting date around mid-August for an orientation week, plus our "hippocamp," and annual week-long day camp.
Candidates must:
• Have a university degree
• TEFL/TESOL teaching qualification
• Be a dynamic and enthusiastic teacher who loves small children
• Have a creative and positive spirit
• Be organised and flexible
• Have a willingness to learn new things
Nice to have:
