The English program at CPI Monteverde is looking for qualified English teachers, with a TEFL/TESOL or comprable certificate and/or equivalent experience, for full-time and part-time positions starting in March of 2007. We offer group classes from 6pm to 8pm and times for private classes are agreed upon on an individual basis. The times for classes are and need to be flexible both for the students and the teachers. Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.
During this unit I have learned the language skills to identify the affirmative, questioning and negative grammar for the future simple, -continuous, -perfect and -perfect continuous tenses. I have learned how to spot the usual mistakes students make. I have also learned how to correct these errors in such a way that it does not put the student off. The classroom activities given in this unit will prove very useful.Wow, I hope I got everything right. I mean this is hardly an exact science, yet the correct answers are predetermined and my ability to provide the correct answer will depend somewhat on the similarity of my judgement to that of whoever created the test. Luckily real life is not so rigid and arbitrary. I tried my best to use my common sense through the prism of the information in the unit. Let's see how that worked.
