Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.
This unit taught me the four types of present tenses: the present simple, present continuous, present perfect, and the present perfect continuous. The lesson demonstrated several interesting examples of affirmative, negative, and interrogative sentences. It was also shown many methods of teaching, including the most common mistakes and errors. Therefore, this unit brought a fundamental topic that any good teacher must know. This unit was useful in the sense that it was a memory refresher. I have not gone over this stuff in sometime and its always a nice challenge to get tested on it. The use of verbs in different context is something we don't think about on a day to day basis so the is definitely something I needed a layout of. However, I wish there was some more examples and variations of explaining the different types of past tense verbs.
