Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

This unit focused on teaching productive skills which include speaking and writing. Both skills are very important and necessary for learning a language. For speaking it is important to have good fluency (that is understandability not necessarily just native-like fluency). Writing requires more accuracy than speaking. This unit showed me good ways to teach both skills which include do's and don'ts as well as ideas for activities. In this unit we review equipment and teaching aids. I think it´s good to know all the available sources, but it varies a lot from country to country and the socioeconomic level of the school. It´s important for a teacher to be able to teach with all sorts of equipment, and not to relay on one, so they know what to do when there is no equipment (or very sophisticated). The teaching aids provided are a good source to look up.
