Our Company Hong Kong Education Provide Company represents over 10 kindergarten schools in Hong Kong. We are looking for 6 Native English Teachers for our schools for the coming semester.

We offer :-

1. 11 months contract from September 2004 to August 2005

2. Free accommodation, to be shared with 1 or 2 teachers, indivdual bedroom for each teacher, club house facility, swimming pool + gym

3. Free Ticket (Maximum HK$5000 reimbursement) after completion of contract

4. 6 weeks paid holiday for X'mas, Chinese New Year and Easter.

5. We will organise trips to major cities in China eg, Shanghai, Nanjing during paid holiday, we will sponsor 30% for travelling expenses.

6. Free Cantonese language training for basic communication.

7. We will provide basic teaching materials such as flip card, colour picture cards for each teacher, local teacher will assist you in the class. Short class (20-30mins per class)

8. Salary HKD11, 000 monthly x 11 months

We require :

1. TESOL teacher + University graduate or above

2. At least 6 month teaching experience

3. Must be very responsible, enthusiastic, hard working, love children and love teaching.

Working Hours : 5.5 days per week.

Weekday from 8.45am to 4.45pm Weekend English Class - from 9.00am to 1 pm

Some schools will have English class after school hours, if you have done your 3 hours of English class during weekday, then your weekend will be free.

Location of school

The size of school is much smaller, due to limited land in HK. You will require to teach in 2 location for the same school. For example Monday & Wednesday in location 1 while the rest of the week will be at location 2.

Transportation

In Hong Kongï¿½the transportation is well connected, it will only take you from home to work 30mins to 45mins by MTR the mass transit railway.

Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

This unit presented a major challenge for me as I had never studied the past tense in such great detail before. The unit examined the past simple, past perfect, past continuous and past perfect continuous. The unit also provided many example sentences and gave descriptions for the usage of each tense. A great feature of most of the units so far is that sample activate stage teaching ideas are given after each tense is examined.After overviewing of the content of this unit, I realized that various methods can be used in classroom. However, there is not right or wrong way, all depends on the age of group, the level of group, and so on. Most importantly, elicitation is necessary in all classes. Teacher's job is to encourage students to be interested in and to learn the language. In order to do that, teachers use several interesting elicitation techniques.
