Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

In this lesson I learned more about authentic and created materials. Authentic materials are good for advanced students, and created materials are preferred with beginner students. Also, course books are useful as long as the teacher doesn't follow it blindly. Teachers should use course books to guide them, and be prepared to either replace or supplement material according to students. This unit has helped me to understand alot about the classroom. It explains teacher to student talk time. It assists with different ways to seat the class depending on factors of the students. It explains alot about discipline in the classroom and what could be causing problem behaviours. It explains good and bad gesture from the teacher. It also helps with grouping students and pairwork.
