International High school needs ESL teachers ASAPOnboard: Aug 2023Location: Min hang, Shanghai/Package: competitive salary, health insurance, housing allowance, and flight allowance (one time per year). Generally require our teachers to work 22 lessons per week with classes that have approximately 15-20 students per class.DUTIES: Develop and maintain a comprehensive curriculum.• Support student learning by collaborating with other teachers and departments of the school, especially supporting ELA learning in drama classes and programs.• Support the school’s commitment to the 4C skills of communication, collaboration, critical thinking, and creativity in teaching and working with colleagues.• Promote cross-cultural understanding among faculty and students.• Participate actively in curricular work, curricular writing, and professional development within the curriculum group and the faculty at large.• Whenever possible, become involved in interdisciplinary teaching with colleagues.• Maintain positive relationships with parents and participate in parent-teacher conferences.• Offer at least one elective or club for students each semester.• Occasionally cover classes for colleagues.• Assist with other student activities when possible.• Care for all students in class and actively report concerns and accolades regarding students’ progress in class.• Support and work with the support staff where appropriate, such as the admissions officers.• Be flexible, and assist with any other duties, tasks or jobsRequirements:• English native speaker, minimum of a bachelor’s degree.• A recognized teaching qualification or equivalent.• Teaching experience is preferable.• Full proficiency in the English language• Have excellent interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with students, colleagues and parents.If you would like to apply for this position, please forward current CV to the email address in the job heading.
