I found this unit to be interesting and informative. Given I had only taught at the senior high school level before starting this unit, I have never really considered what it would be like to teach the other specific groups outlined in this unit. I do, know that before reading this unit the idea of teaching absolute beginners to be daunting. However, I now feel more confident that I could be an effective teacher to beginners.I have always been a teacher who likes to create my own resources rather than using pre made options. I also feel that with EFL students, once they have grasped a concept or reading. If they used the new vocabulary words to create their own activity for their peers, they will gain a deeper understanding. The message about 'students learn 90% of what they teach' has always resonated with me to reinforce learning with students.
