Responsibilities
Teach well prepared ESL classes according to the syllabus and guidelines.
Use the Communicative Approach employing methodologies such as guided discovery, task-based learning and the lexical approach, among others.
Monitor students use of the Progress Tracker and ensure it is used to measure progress
Assign homework, do marking and provide meaningful feedback to students.
Administer tests and give tutorials.
Participate in the social program.
Are involved with the progression of the school by attending meetings and contributing to improvement by implementing new initiatives and providing.
Position Requirements
Degree in Education, Linguistics, Pedagogy or equivalent required
Minimum TESL 1 certificate and/or CELTA required
Minimum of 2 years’ full-time teaching experience
Effective communicator
Professional appearance
Positive and flexible attitude
Proactive about own development and the job
Asset:
TESL 2, CELTA, TESOL Diploma, DELTA or MA in TESOL or Applied Linguistics
