TEFL Opening in Mossoró, Brazil

Date posted:2009-11-29 | Writer: Mossoro Language School | Email: [email protected]

We are looking for young and motivated TEFL qualified native English speakers to work as ESL teachers. Located in the northeast part of the country. Mossoró is a medium sized city. The closest beach is about 30 minutes from downtown, by car. There are about 250,000 inhabitants here.

We are a small and very friendly school. We have had 5 other native English teachers in the past years. They were all from the U.S., we can give you their phone numbers, so you can talk and learn a little more about the experience of coming and teaching English with us.The school has its own material and methodology. You will be trained to be ready to teach. If you are interested, we can enroll you in a Portuguese course at the local University, without any charge.

We have our own material. We provide all the training that you need to teach. The classes are to start in the first week of February. The classes go on for a semester. They finish in July.

While you are here, you are going to live in one of the student’s families. They will send you information and pictures of them and their house. They usually become very excited about the idea of having a foreign person at their homes. They will offer you room and board. You will only spend your own money with food if you, for any reason, don’t eat at home.

You will work at most 25 hours a week. The school will pay you R$ 12,00 an hour. The prices here are very low compared with any American or European countries.

Visa and plane TicketsWe don’t sponsor visa or plane tickets expenses. We do provide all the documentation you will need to get a Cultural Visa (which is the one you will need to have this kind of job).

Send me an email at the address given on the job heading if you are interested in coming and teaching here.

Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

this is one of the most confusing aspect of my lesson planning. I am always confuse with what actity i am to use at the engage, study, and the activate stage. i usually just mixed every thing up no matter the topic i am teaching. But,now with the help of the study materials i have cleared my doubts on this. also i will be using these materials as a refrence piont when ever i feel tide up with lesson planiingIn this lesson I got to know about other skills such as productive skills, i.e. writing and speaking. These ones are as much important as receptive skills, but the problem is that in order to develop them too much time and knowledge are needed. Due to lack of foreigners in a coutry student may face some problems with developing these skills. I have found out about games and activities during the lesson. The
