Graded School is a private, co-educational, non-sectarian, nonprofit day school for children ages 2 through 18. Middle and High School programs are essentially college preparatory in nature. Students prepare for a general American High School diploma and have the opportunity to prepare for a Brazilian High School diploma, and/or the International Baccalaureate diploma.

Each year Graded recruits the best teachers from the United States, Brazil and around the world to join our school. Personal interviews with our administrative team usually take place at various international hiring fairs in December and February or through phone or video at any time. We request that applicants send us an email introducing yourselves, stating why you are interested in joining the Graded team, what you are applying for, and attaching your curriculum vitae. Emails should be sent to the address given on the main job heading.

Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

This unit covered some important grammar rules and exceptions that a teacher needs to understand. A teacher also needs to be able to communicate these rules to his or her students in a way that they can understand and use proper grammar. I've learned these grammar rules in school before. This unit was very good for me to review and remember what I've learned in order to be able to teach it to my future students.Placement tests, diagnostic tests, and progress tests should always be part of course. We need specific tests to gauge students English proficiency level, place them in the right class, and to see what they have remembered. Practice tests will help students prepare for college required tests such as TOEFL, IELTS, and TOEIC. Choosing the right test at the appropriate time will be very important for TEFL teachers.
