In a very similar format to the unit on reading and listening, this unit focuses on speaking and writing. Speaking and writing are productive skills. Both have their own particular challenges. For instance, speaking requires a good understanding of vocabulary as well as decent pronunciation. Writing can be difficult for students, especially those with a native language that uses a totally different alphabet.The importance of evaluating and testing is superbly explained in this unit. I appreciate the outlines and placement test examples given in this unit as well. What more can I say? This program is giving me a lot of relevant information in preparing me to be a teacher. This, as with every unit prior, has taught me much more of what I need to know to be a good teacher than I had originally anticipated. Thanks.
