Explore English has an opportunity for passionate ELICOS (English Language Intensive Courses for Overseas Students) teachers to join our fantastic team based at our Collins St Campus in Melbourne. We are currently seeking dynamic, engaging TESOL qualified teachers for General English and EAP classes. We have four days of classes (morning and evening sessions available) from Monday through to Thursday, which gives our teachers a three day weekend! We have casual positions available for immediate start!
ESSENTIAL SKILLS:
An ability to utilise an extensive range of teaching pedagogical approaches
Ability to teach all levels of General English classes
Available for morning and/or evening shifts (4 days a week)
A Bachelor Degree or higher in any discipline
CELTA or TESOL qualified
Able to demonstrate excellent classroom management
A valid Working with Children Check
Bright and bubbly personality
Organised, punctual, reliable and flexible
Computer savvy
DESIRED SKILLS:
Experience teaching overseas and in multi-lingual environments
Ability to speak more than one language
RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:
Teach a range of General English and/or exam preparation classes
Develop a strong rapport with international students on the campus
Mark and correct student weekly assessments
Design a variety of engaging and challenging lessons
Provide assessment feedback to students
Attend and offer input when attending regular academic and administrative meetings
Record student attendance
Follow compliance and complete all documentation on a timely basis
Build a successful rapport with a range of stakeholders
Attend regular validation and moderation sessions
