Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

This last unit was kind of a last minute tips unit for me. It went into great detail about how to start a class and calibrate the class according to size, and whether the class knows each other or not. It also went into a lot of detail about warming up a class as well as catering to different levels of learning speed. In addition to this, I learned that many things such as paired work can help with reluctant students. The unit, much like the previous unit of Present Tenses, covers the past tenses. Past simple, past perfect, past continuous and past perfect continuous are explained in detail and ideas of how to teach them are given. This is extremely useful for remembering the specific rules and uses of the past tense, obviously extremely important for teaching. At the end of the unit is a task sheet to consolidate usage of the tenses.
