Fully qualified and trained native English speakers needed to teach English at FIRST LANGUAGE LEVEL. This is NOT an EFL or an ESL post but such experience is a bonus. If you have a B.Ed., or a B.A. with a one year postgrad teacher training qualification, or a 3/4 year teacher training Cert/Diploma you are welcome. We do not accept 4 week/40 hour EFL type courses as proper training. Ideally you have had a minimum of 3 years experience in a classroom with NATIVE SPEAKERS. Non-smokers required. This unit was all about not only how to create a lesson plan, but also the importance of a lesson plan. As a new teacher, the lesson plan is just as important for me as it is for the structure of the class and the students. It helps to keep a record of things the class has done, helps create a timeline of how the class should go that day, and allows the teacher some flexibility if the students need more or less time for certain lessons.In this chapter, I learned so many practical and useful methods to teach my future students. I learned that DVD players and over head projector, showing videos can hold students' attention better than casette player, which students just have to listen to it, and that reminded me of my high school years. Back in high school, my teacher used many of these practical methods to teach my class, and I think I can relate to that in the future.
