Further School of English is a language school which opened in 1996 and has grown into being a reputable school for kids, teens and adults. We're looking for friendly, dynamic and reliable EFL teachers who genuinely enjoy working with kids and teens, and with a naturally good manner with them in the classroom environment. We place a lot of importance on a natural, communicative approach to our lessons, teaching through games, theatre, and craft activities to improve speaking and listening skills, along with a book to help develop reading and writing skills. Lessons for teenagers are more exam focused (PET, FCE..), but our objective of making the lessons as enjoyable as possible remains the same.

Ideal candidates must have the capacity to give lively and fun classes whilst having the organisational skills to fulfill the educational objectives which have been set. We like teachers to able to show initiative, collaborate with their peers, and respond well to training and advice.

Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

Vocabulary, grammar and functions are the basic points that a teacher should discuss when teaching a new language. We can apply methods to introduce new language. 'Straight arrow', 'boomerang' and 'patchwork' ESA approaches should be appropriately used in different lessons with different targets. In addition, what students usually need to know in different lessons are also introduced in this unit.In this unit we covered future tenses. It spent time on each area as before-form, usage, mistakes made and activities to try. It taught about the seven different things that future tenses could accomplish and the difference in using the helping verbs which could indicate whether the tense was in the future or in the present. I believe this is also something we should look out for when teaching.
