EN Campaigns are looking for suitably qualified EFL teacher to join our expanding team starting in January 2015. This is a fixed-term contract for 3 months with the option to extend after this period. We offer a competitive salary with accommodation.
This is an extremely exciting time to join EN Campaigns as we will be opening a brand new teaching and examination venue in Angola in the new year. Our centre will prepare students for academic English exams including IELTS and also provide professional English training for our corporate clients.
For the right candidate, this presents a unique opportunity to be part of an exciting new venture and help to shape a new school as well as deliver world-class teaching to motivated young professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
• English language teaching:
o Conducting initial diagnostic assessments to test new students' English levels and writing reports on their capabilities.
o Delivering high-quality, interactive and dynamic lessons that enable students to make progress with their English language skills. This will include preparing lesson plans and relevant learning material.
o Preparing intermediate level students for the IELTS exam. This will include a mixture of intensive and part-time courses
o Delivering corporate training for our corporate partners. This will involve teaching employees how to use English within their workplace.
o Setting regular homework assignments that will enable learners to practice their English and also demonstrate their capabilities and improvements.
• Admin duties:
o Keeping up-to-date records of student learning profiles and records
o Entering candidates for exams
o Preparing reports for corporate clients on their employees
o Meeting with potential new clients to discuss their training needs
Person Specification:
• Experience & Qualifications (essential)
o Must speak English at native-level
o CELTA, TESOL, TEFL or equivalent Level 4 English teaching qualification
o Minimum 6 months experience teaching English as a foreign language
• Desirable:
o PTTLS Certificate or Higher
o Experience of teaching overseas
o Working knowledge of Portuguese
Skills and Attributes:
• Engaging and creative - you must be able to design interactive and innovative teaching sessions that involve practical, fun and lively activities
• Motivated self-starter who can manage multiple classes and stay ontop of a varied workload
• Good organisational skills - you will be required to keep up-to-date learning records and other forms of paperwork.
