TEFL in Ethiopia / Addis Ababa

In order to evaluate our students, we need to first know what level they are at in their Enlglish. By looking, and assessing , the four skills; reading , writing, speaking and listening, we can place them accordingly by using different tests to place them in the right level. This unit was helpful, for me as a new an upcoming teacher, to know what the different tests I can use to assist me in this area, with my students.This unit is very interesting as it breaks down the 'young learners' group even further and allows you as a teacher to distinguish the differences between the ages. At ages 5-9 students have less concentration therefore you have to keep the activities moving with lots of song and dance and repetition. Where as with ages 9-13 you can use more structure within the lesson as they are more subjective to learn and want to learn.
