Teaching English in Sudan

South Sudan is the youngest country in the world in a desperate need of proper educational resources to boost its economy and youth. We are looking for enthusiastic EFL teachers to join a project establishing a language school in Juba, South Sudan. This is an open project for anyone with a suitable qualification, experience and enthusiasm. We have both paid and volunteering positions. Ideal candidates will have TEFL certification and previous experience working in a developing country  If you are interested in working in South Sudan, send a letter of interest and an updated CV with a recent photo to the e-mail address given on the job heading.

Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

 

In this unit we studied some of the cultural issues that a teacher should be aware of when teaching in different countries of the world. Opportunities for emplyoment exist throughout the world of business english teachers and there are a number of ways that you can go about gaining a post. Also writing an effective and powerful resume is one of the keys to make employers interested in your profile.This unit highlights the importance of the relationship between the teacher and the students. It identifies the different roles of the teacher and how these roles should be used depending on the students' motivation, culture and learning styles. It also talks about differences between young and adult learners and how teachers can use these differences in making lessons interesting for the learners.
