Our curriculum is reviewed annually by an international body, in the USA, made up of 5 PhDs working in ESL. Peru is a developing country, so the cost of living is low. That also means that our students can’t afford to pay a lot for their classes. Our pay is good for the area and you can live on your salary. Most teachers teach 3 groups, 2 hours per day, 18 days per month, plus rotating schedules for Saturday kids. Expect to earn approximately S/1500 per month (Peruvian Soles). This is about $450 to $500 USD depending on the conversion rate which goes up and down. The teachers do not normally change sites during the day. This is a stimulating and challenging position for the right applicant. We seek to employ the teachers for the next academic year – until end of July-August 2017. Teaching is on a small class basis up to a maximum of ten persons per class at all levels from Beginner to Advanced and also Business English. There is a possibility for the teachers to extend the contract after the first successful year. QUALIFICATIONS: Native speakers with a UK passport are preferable. A teaching qualification at TESOL, CELTA or above is essential for this post. Newly qualified teachers will be considered although a teacher with at least one year’s experience would be preferred. Some experience in teaching children and in ESP would also be desirable. COMPENSATION : We offer a monthly salary of 38 000 RUB net for 120 academic hours with overtime available. We offer an hourly-paid basic monthly salary. We pay normal rate for the first 100 academic hours (1 academic hours = 45 minutes) and overtime rate for any additional academic hours taught per month. The cost of living in Chelyabinsk is approximately 20% less than in Moscow. Free medical insurance cover will be provided as well as general working visa support including the issue of an official invitation. The cost of the visa and the cost of the airfare will be refunded, payable at 50% on arrival and 50% upon successful completion of the contract. The transfer from/to the airport is free.
