  • Full-time TEFL Job in Kassel, Germany

Writer: Finer English | Email: [email protected]

Finer English is a virtual school - we have no school building and no staff-room where teachers can swap ideas at lunch-time. Lessons are taught on our clients' premises - all of which are reachable by public transport from Kassel city centre. Because teachers do not meet daily, regular communication by telephone and e-mail is essential. Teacher training sessions are held several times each year to develop teaching skills, exchange ideas and reinforce the co-operative team spirit. Teaching according to each student's specific business needs means we use no set text books unless specifically requested. Teaching materials appropriate to the needs of each individual student are provided by Finer English. Qualifications: ·         Applications will only be considered from native level speakers of English. ·         A current driving licence would be useful. ·         Applicants should have at least two years of relevant teaching experience. ·         Formal EFL qualification is desirable but not a must. ·         Personality is important. We are seeking an energetic, open-minded teacher with a passion for both teaching and the English language. ·         Applicants should also have a good knowledge of world events and business terminology. ·         Finally, candidates should be excited both to learn new things and continually improve themselves as teachers. Compensation: The advertised vacancy is a freelance position. Starting rates are commensurate with teachers' experience. Finer English is pleased to offer teacher support and has a member of staff for that purpose. We will gladly assist the successful applicant with the red tape process and help find suitable housing. TO APPLY: If you are interested in the position, please send your CV along with a current photograph to the email address given on the job heading.   Due to the high volume of applications we typically receive, we will not be replying to any applicant who does not fulfill the job requirements specified in this advert.          Read more

The British trainers/volunteers are expected to teach English through games, drama and other fun activities to the pupils (aged between 7 and 16). However, it is not the trainer’ responsibility to look after the children. There will be teachers to do that. The timetable is very flexible and it is always planned and discussed with the trainers in advance. We are dedicated to making the trainers’ stay in Romania a memorable one. Our pupils speak very good English so communication with them will not be a problem. However, the younger ones may need support and guidance sometimes but organizers and other teachers are there to help all the time. We think that there is no right or wrong way to teach and we believe that each British trainer brings his or her own style and ideas. • Full-time EFL Teachers Needed in Magical Ecuador!

Writer: Instituto de Lenguas Extranjeras USFQ | Email: [email protected]

rking Monday through Thursday (and occasionally on Fridays) from four to eight hours each day with one-week vacation after almost every two-month cycle of teaching. You will be based in one of our two campuses: Riobamba, or Santo Domingo de los Tsáchilas. ILE also offers an environment where teachers are supported in their professional development with workshops (in-house training and workshops organized by International House Quito and Oxford University Press Ecuador). Teachers would begin working January in both Santo Domingo and Riobamba. Free temporary housing will be provided for a maximum period of 1 month so as to give teachers time to find their own accommodation. REQUIREMENTS: The qualifications we ask for are: a minimum Bachelor’s degree in any field of study (alternatively, two years teaching experience) and a mandatory TEFL/CELTA/TESOL or other related certificate. Must be a native level English speaker. Preference is given to teachers who are able to make a minimum one year commitment and preferably more. ILE can provide a permanent teaching position offer after 18 months (depending on individual performance and the teacher’s commitment). THE LOCATION: Santo Domingo is 2.5 hours away from Quito and only 1.5 hours away from the coast (beach towns). It has a lovely subtropical climate and boosts a growing economy. It is quite different from high-altitude cities in that it reflects a more coastal/tropical culture. Riobamba is the capital of the Chimborazo province. It is a high-altitude city, rather old and with an important indigenous population. It is a regional transport centre (you have the Andean railroad passing through the city) and it is in close proximity to the Chimborazo volcano. ILE has had a presence in Riobamba for more than 13 years; it is the ILE training hub, with a big teaching team and its campus is located in the city centre (in a historical building). ILE can provide a furnished suite for teachers (on campus) for the first month. ILE is offering one of the two schemes: Scheme 1 $11 hourly pay. Payment for teachers depends on course load (each class represents approximately 30 contact hours per month)* Guaranteed at least 2 courses per month (each class is 2 contact hours per day) but teachers are expected to teach 3 classes per month; ILE courses are taught from Monday to Thursdays with a few exceptional Fridays, so teachers will enjoy 3 day weekends on most weeks. ILE will provide necessary legal assistance related to the visa process (the cost of the visa itself, notarial costs and direct legal fees are entirely the candidate’s responsibility. However, ILE will allow for deferred payment, upon the teachers request); ILE will also provide support in terms of relocating to Ecuador (opening a bank account, tax and accounting advice, etc.); Access to discounted medical insurance with BMI international insurer (this is optional and the cost of the insurance itself is supported by the teacher); 1-week off every two months; A high immersion experience in Ecuador with the possibility to move across ILE campuses nationwide (depending on available vacancies); Access to a wide academic network and the possibility to actively participate in community projects. Permanent teaching position offer after 18 months (depending on performance and commitment). Minimum six-months commitment. *minimum salary is $570 net per month (with a 2-course load) and it can reach upwards of $1,200 with more classes assigned. Scheme 2 $9.00 hourly pay. Payment for teachers depends on course load (each class represents approximately 30 contact hours per month)**; Guaranteed at least 2 courses per month (each class is 2 contact hours per day) but teachers are expected to teach 3 classes per month; ILE courses are taught from Monday to Thursdays with a few exceptional Fridays, so teachers will enjoy 3 day weekends on most weeks 😉 ILE will cover the cost of the Ecuadorian work visa and all legal and notarial services (around $750 USD) ILE will also provide support in terms of relocating to Ecuador (opening a bank account, tax and accounting advice, etc.); Access to discounted medical insurance with BMI international insurer (this is optional and the cost of the insurance itself is supported by the teacher); 1-week off every two months; A high immersion experience in Ecuador with the possibility to move across ILE campuses nationwide (depending on available vacancies); Access to a wide academic network and the possibility to actively participate in community projects. Permanent teaching position offer after 18 months (depending on performance and commitment).
