MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:-
Education:
• Bachelors Degree in relevant subject area, Masters Degree preferred• Qualified Teacher Certification
Experience:
• Minimum 5 years of full time teaching in the grade level or subject area• Successful experience in working with students in the respective age group• Previous experience in an international school and familiarity with American educational system preferred• Experience teaching ESL students preferred• Experience in creating units of work using ‘backward design’ strategies preferred• Experience collaborating with a large team of teachers preferred

As an ELL Teacher you will work with both teachers and students to support academic and social English language development. When working with teachers you will provide instructional expertise on the integration of ELL best practices into everyday classroom environments. You will use English Language Proficiency assessments and progress monitoring tools to develop, implement and monitor comprehensive ELL programs. Programs involve push in/pull out, small group, and individual student support.
Work ExperienceEducational Background: Bachelor’s degree in your subject area (Elementary and Early Education degrees are also highly valued for Pre-K through Grade 5).Experience: At least two years as the lead teacher in a classroom, a requirement for obtaining a working visa.Collaboration: A team player eager to share and learn from colleagues worldwide.High Standards: A commitment to maintaining and enhancing the rigor of international education.
Preferred Qualifications: Subject matter postgraduate work (Master's or Ph.D.) is preferred or a combination of subject matter undergraduate degree with a Master’s in Education. Knowledge of Basic Interpersonal Communication Skills (BICS) vs Cognitive Academic Language Proficiency (CALP) is preferred. TEFL/TESOL certificate preferred. Knowledge of WIDA/LAS Links assessments or other language assessments. Expertise in structured English language immersion programs (SIOP) is highly preferred.
