It is split between two main areas, the first of which is teaching skills which covers subjects such as teaching methodologies, classroom management, and lesson planning. The remaining units are focused on language awareness which covers the main areas of English grammar such as the parts of speech and the tense system.

The usual price for this high-quality training course is around $440. However, the 120-hour online TEFL certification is currently on offer for only $249, which also includes a wide range of teaching videos, online tutor support, and a free 50-hour additional training course. What is the cost of an in-class TEFL course?

This option is a full-time intensive course that is completed over a four-week period at one of our training centers. The course will include all the same theory subjects as the online equivalent above, with the obvious difference that they are taught in a traditional classroom environment by a team of professional teacher trainers. This face-to-face instruction can make a massive difference to the learning process for many people who find it hard to stay focused and motivated while studying alone.

The price of an in-class TEFL course varies from one location to the next due to the variation in overhead costs. Our Bangkok center is currently the cheapest location on offer and is priced at $1,395 for the 4-week program. This price includes several hours of real teaching practice, plus a free additional course of your choice, such as the Diploma in TESOL.

What is the cost of a combined TEFL course?

Our combined TEFL course is essentially a mix of the previous two methods as it includes some online study and a short stay at one of our training centers. To kick things off you complete all the theory sections of the course online at any pace you prefer. Once complete, you can then book into one of our training centers to finish your studies. With this option you get all the convenience and flexibility of online study, plus the additional in-person instruction and supervised teaching practice that comes with an in-class course.

Once again, the cost of the combined TEFL course varies by location, although the average is around $1,500. However, as the combined course requires significantly less attendance at a training center you will make a good saving on accommodation and living costs.

What is the cost of a specialized TEFL course?

Once TEFL qualified many teachers start to think about the next possible step up the employment ladder. Simply gaining classroom experience is sometimes enough to be eligible for higher-paid positions, but in many cases additional qualifications might be necessary to stand out from the crowd. One option is to take one or more specialized courses that focus on specific areas of language teaching. The most common areas of specialization are:

• Teaching English online

What is the cost of an advanced TEFL course?

With an advanced level qualification, such as our Diploma in TESOL, you will be in a much better position when applying for high-end teaching jobs and positions that are located in highly-popular locations or institutions. The Diploma in TESOL is completed entirely online and involves greater amounts of individual study and research in comparison to a standard level course. The average length of study is around 250 hours, although this will depend on your personal learning style.

The Diploma in TESOL course is available alongside the 120-hour TEFL course for a discount fee of $499. Alternatively, it is also available as part of our great value Expert Package for $599.
