How much does TEFL Certification cost?

ITTT has a wide range of courses available to suit all requirements, budgets and time options. There are three possible routes to TEFL Certification with ITTT.

Online TEFL courses and TEFL Certification costs

All ITTT online courses are internationally accredited and come with online tutor support.

120-hour TEFL Course

This is our best selling course which provides a good basic grounding to the skills and knowledge required to teach in an EFL classroom without having any previous experience. A 120-hour certificate is generally regarded as the minimum requirement for most TEFL employers worldwide.

170-hour TEFL Certification Course with Online Specialization

This course combines the best selling 120-hour course from ITTT with an additional 50-hour certificate in teaching English online (CTEO), a skill which is continuing to grow in demand worldwide. The 170-hour TEFL certification course includes online tutor support.

250-hour Diploma in TESOL Course

The ITTT 250-hour Diploma in TESOL (DipTESOL) is a higher level course which is research based. Following directly on from the certificate level course the Diploma program investigates the theories behind the methodologies you will be familiar with. You can take the Diploma and certificate courses together as our 370-hour certification option, though two separate certificates are issued.

TEFL Package courses

Our package course options are:

• 220-hour Master Package
• 550-hour Expert Package

Both of our packages include the 120-hour online TEFL certification course, the 50-hour course in teaching business English (CTBE) and the 50-hour course in teaching English to young learners (CTEYL). The Expert Package also includes the 50-hour course in teaching English online (CTEO), the 250-hour Diploma in TESOL, and an optional teaching practice component.

Course graduates can choose between receiving an individual certificate for each section completed, or a single certificate that encompasses all components of the course package.

Specialized courses

60-hour Specialized Course in Teaching English Online

In this course many of the most important aspects of Teaching English Online are studied over ten units. This includes such topics as the equipment needed to teach online, the uses of social media and planning online lessons.

60-hour Specialized Course in Teaching English to Young Learners

In this course many of the most important aspects of teaching English to young learners are studied over ten units. This includes such topics as managing the classroom, teaching productive and receptive skills and planning Young Learner lessons.

60-hour Specialized Course in Teaching Business English

In this course many of the most important aspects of Teaching Business English are studied over ten units.
This includes such topics as evaluation and testing of students, cultural and business aspects worldwide and planning Business English lessons.

In-class TEFL course attendance and TEFL certification cost

In-class 120-hour TESOL courses are usually completed in four weeks at one of our many training locations worldwide. Each location provides at least two accommodations options, which may be termed, budget and regular.

The TEFL certification cost for the four week courses (excluding accommodation) starts at around $1,500 and includes all training, materials and certification.

One important aspect of an onsite course is that it gives you the opportunity to conduct teaching practice, with real English language learners at a range of levels. Your teaching practice will be observed by experienced trainers, who will give written and verbal feedback on each lesson taught.

Combined TEFL courses and TEFL certification cost

Combined courses feature some of the best components from both online and onsite courses. They are cheaper in general than a full four-week course, as the onsite component is typically completed in ten days to two weeks.

Combined certification consists of completion of the ITTT 120-hour online course followed by attendance at one of our training centers for the teaching practice. Successful completion of the combined course results in a similar certification to the four-week course.
