The Vikings played a large part in the history of Norway and they are still the subject of countless books, films and TV shows today.
The Viking Ship Museum in Oslo is probably the best place to start as it has a huge collection of artifacts, including two Viking ships that date back to the 9th century.
You can even have a go at sailing a Viking ship.
For many visitors to Norway, exploring the colorful story of the Vikings is a must and there are plenty of places where you can do it.
Elsewhere you can enjoy a celebration in a reconstructed Viking longhouse, try your hand at archery and axe throwing, or pick up some handicrafts and traditional food at a Viking market.
