The Importance of English Grammar
In my opinion, Grammar plays an important role in English Learning and Teaching, because Grammar is the heart of any language. Learning English is the same as building a house and its grammar acts as a foundation and frame. Knowledge of English grammar helps us in the correction of mistakes and improvement of writing work. A person cannot learn a foreign language accurately only through a process of unconscious assimilation.

Grammar and Linguistics
In linguistics, Grammar is a collection of linguistic elements such as words, phrases, clauses that are grouped and arranged according to rules and order to form a complete and meaningful sentence.
In communication, correct grammar will make the conversation more interesting and exciting, because it is your key to speaking English fluently and confidently. Therefore, in communication, poor grammar will cause discomfort, giving bad feelings to another person.
Moreover, in daily life, a person who is good at grammar and good communication has many benefits at work. Here are 5 reasons to confirm the especial importance of English grammar.
1. The formal grammar helps us speak correctly in English:
Of course, if you follow a learning style that does not take grammar seriously, you will easily speak fluently in English but this is just your own English, it is not native English and it will make no one understand what you want to express. Usage of correct grammar will help you avoid errors that make your English sound strange to native speakers.
Once you have a habit of expressing English in the style of "like no one" then it will be very difficult for you to overcome this fundamental loss.
So, instead of following the "fluent speaking" approach, you should start with the slow and accurate way of learning English in which you'll actively build your English skills while you absorb the language as native speakers use it.

2. Grammar helps us communicate correctly:
Without good grammar, you cannot express a clear message in both speaking and writing. If you use grammar well, you will not be misunderstood when you express your ideas.
3. Grammar helps us improve communication skills:
Proficient usage of English grammar rules will help you establish the habit of organizing languages accurately as soon as the new idea has been formed. Learning grammar gives us ways to organize words so that they can be used to form a precise and understandable expression. A person who learns a formal English grammar can express accurately his or her thoughts to others. It also helps us improve thinking in a completely different way than the thinking they already have.

4. Writing and speaking in formal grammar will increase the value of personal branding.
Do not let others get bad impressions just because you have poor communication skills. Strictly speaking and writing in formal grammar helps you gain credibility from others so that it will help you build your brand to be more beneficial in your career.
5. Correct grammar gives many benefits in applying for a job:
If you're going for a job interview in English, the employer will be interested in the quality of your spoken and written English. In fact, in a recent survey of vnexpress (in Vietnam), 40% said that bad spelling and grammar was the biggest reason they would dislike an application. Correct grammar won't just demonstrate your English skills - it'll also show that you're diligent and have an eye for detail.
