Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching. This convenient, highly structured design means that you can quickly get to grips with each section before moving onto the next.
I enjoyed the discussion on Grammar. I appreciate that this is a very problematic area, even for native English speakers, and it really needs great attention.
This introduction was especially useful. It highlighted and clarified some areas that i found difficult throughout my career.
Please also consider that some of us are not native English speakers, and such will be helpful. This unit taught me the basics for sentence structure, the classifications for parts of speech and how to teach these learnings to a wider audience. As a fluent English speaker I use these structures every day but I rarely classify them and break them down. After completing this unit I feel that I can now explain how I put together sentences in order to be grammatically correct.
