The topics I?ve learnt in unit one include what makes a good teacher, motivation for students and role of a teacher. By studying these topics I?ve gained a background knowledge of what teaching is about. Another topic presented in topic one was language levels. This topic has taught me how to gauge what level a student is in a certain language by using a ranking system.This Unit relates to the various ways a teacher and a school have to assess students level and progress. It also explains the different tests that exist in the English language learning world and the importance for a teacher to do an assessment on his class to know what teaching has stuck with the students and what are the areas that need a little more time for the class to grasp.
