Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching. Unit 1 explains the most important characteristics of a good teacher and the teaching roles. The learners are also classified and explained according to their age and language levels. With these topics, the Unit 1 is generally aiming to outline the characteristics of ideal teachers and students as well as the roles of the teacher and the relationship between teachers and students.In this unit, I learned how much technology seems to have changed. For example, the concept of a \"counter\" on cassette players is alien to me, and I haven't seen an OHP in over a decade. There were some interesting concepts and ideas to be played around with (such as the silent DVD pairings) but many of them seem targeted at smaller classes than the 40+ student classes I have.
