CALL: Computer Assisted Language Learning
CALL is an all encompassing term which can be used to refer to the many ways in which computers are used by both teachers and students to aid the process of language learning. As the availability and sophistication of computer technology continues to grow, so does its relevance and usefulness in the English language classroom. While computers are no replacement for the knowledge and skills of a well trained and experienced English teacher, they do offer a multitude of ways to help the learning process. There are many types of software programs available that can help students learn and practice new language skills, as well as numerous websites aimed at English students. I learned different types of test and how it uses effectively. Evaluation by the students is very important for teacher to understands how the lesson helps the students in realistically. I understand that this evaluation shouldn't be take personally. I should take the feedback positively for future lesson plan. And it is important to have balanced all four skills lesson plan.A succinct summary of how to choose appropriate grammar, functions and vocabulary for ESL lessons. The example lessons (boomerang, straight arrow and patchwork) were particularly useful for visualizing an effective approach to teaching a given grammar concept. The advice on selecting appropriate vocabulary was particularly useful, as I have had some trouble with this previously.
