Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching. This convenient, highly structured design means that you can quickly get to grips with each section before moving onto the next.
I have learnt some new things about future tense. First, I am clear about the difference between will and be going to, 'will 'can be a spontaneous decision, while be going to is planed; 'will' can be a prediction without basing on present evidence, 'be going to' is just the opposite. Second, present simple tense and present continues can be used to express future meaning. In this unit, I learned about the different conditional forms: zero, first, second, third, and mixed. In order to teach these conditionals, I find the bunker role-play game to be quite interesting. I also learned about the difference between direct speech and reported speech. I find the intermediary role-play and media interview ideas to be highly implementable in class.
