Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.
This unit outlines ways to evaluate students and monitor their progress. Tests such as placement test, diagnostic tests, progress tests, etc. gives the teacher some insight into what the student needs to learn and what they already know. In addition, this unit gives an example of a placement test that could be used as a model for future english courses. I also learned about certifications that are available to students of all levels.This unit taught me about the things I need to do to improve my teaching with beginners, young learners and adult class. This helped me to correct the errors I make inside the classroom especially speaking the Native language of the student (some words since I can't speak a complete sentence) when they don't understand even simple instructions. I am looking forward to change in my teaching strategies and correcting the errors I made.
